Today is one of the toughest days of our trip. Crossing Cho La pass is not itself difficult, but it is steep and involves a glacier traverse on the eastern side. We cross it carefully as the trail is vertical and the rocks glazed by ice may cause the trail slippery. The trail from Phedi climbs through a ravine and a rocky trail with a frozen lake, at the top of the pass always decorated with prayer flags by locals while crossing in order to overcome with obstacles. The view of pyramidal Ama Dablam presides on the south, Cholatse soars to the west and Lobuche, Baruntse rises to our right. After crossing some crevasses, we reach at Dzongla with great views of Cholatse, Ama Dablam, Lobuche along with the Pheriche Village far below.
